For 5 years I have been the Race Director and Coordinator for an annual 5k Run/Walk event that raises money for Emergency Medical Services and Line of Duty Death. In this time, with the help of some wonderful volunteers, we have raised and donated over $20,000 to the EMS National Memorial.
The Take a Step for Your Heroes 5K Run/Walk hosted by GetYouThinking, LLC is a fundraising event that benefits the National EMS Memorial Service.
The mission of the National EMS Memorial Service is to honor and remember those men and women of America’s Emergency Medical Services who have given their lives in the line of duty, and to recognize the sacrifice they have made in service to their communities and their fellow man.
